W. 24th May 1881 Dear Sir At a large meeting of the members of the Institute held last evening a proposal was made by The Resident G. E Sheet RA that our late President Mr. John Whicerd be requested to allow his portrait to be painted for The Institute. This received with acclamation. As Treasure to the Fund I shall feel ablliged to all executives also desire the subscriber to forward their certification to us at as early a date as possible.
