Description: Scope/Content: Abstract: FERC issued docket number p-2381: The Federal Energy Regulatort Commission (Commission) issued a license for the Ashton-St. Anthony Projecy (FERC no. 2381.001) to PacifiCorp on September 29, 1988. License Article 404 required that PacifiCorp monitor fish mortality due to passage through the turbines, report the monitoring results, and file plans for mitigating the impacts of turbine induced fish mortality at the St. Anthony development, if needed. PacifiCorp completes all three tasks of Article 404, consulted with Idaho Department of Fish and Game and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and concluded that as many as 300 salmonids are potentially killed annually through project operation at the St. Anthony development. Subsequently, PacifiCorp developed and filed a mitigation plan to address the potential loss of these fish resources. By order dated Jul 01, 1997, the Commission approves PacifiCorp's proposal to salvage and relocate a minimum of 300 salmonids from the EIC annually when it is dewatered for maintenance following the irrigation season. In addition to relocating fish, PacifiCorp is required to prepate and submit an Annual Fish Salvage Report to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, the U.S. Fish and WIldlife Service, and the Commission each year. This document is PacifiCorp's report for 2006.
