Scope/Content: Abstract: FERC issued docket numbers p-2978, p-2979, p-2980: The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR), an agency of the State of Michigan, by its attorneys, Michael A. Cox, Attorney General of the State of Michigan, and Pamela J. Stevenson, Assistant Attorney General, and pursuant to Rule 214, 18 C.F.R. 385.214 of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (Commission) Rules of Practice and Procedure, hereby moves to intervene in Brown Bridge Project No. 2978, Boardman Project No. 2979, and Sabin Project No. 2980 in light of the Commission's November 9, 2005, Notice of Application for Surrender of License and Exemptions and Soliciting Comments, Motions to Intervene, and Protests as regards to the application for a surrender of license. This intervention is necessary in order to protect the public health, safety and welfare, and the natural resources of the State of Michigan and to present its views on the adequacy of the petitions made and decisions rendered by the commission which have a direct and significant impact upon the natural resources of the State of Michigan and its citizens who depend upon the impacted resources for their health, welfare, enjoyment and livelihood.
