Description
Scope/Content: Title from box.
Technique: Artist's book.
Scope/Content: "Blessing Bowl is a book of blessings offered and received as part of daily life. Inspired by Buddhist monks (bhikkhus) who live their lives dependent on the alms or blessings placed in the bowl. Though most of these blessings are not grandiose they fill my beggar's bowl with all that is needed."--Colophon.
Technique: "A flag book structure with a circular format wraps around and comes together in the shape of a bowl. The blessings flow towards the center. Text is set in 12 pt Gills Sans and printed on a Vandercook letterpress from photopolymer plates. The bowl and blessing are Strathmore and Neenah over paper. The box is covered in Thai Unryu"--Colophon.
