Description: Scope/Content: A unique altered book. Artist has retained the original title although the word "encuadernacion" has been partially effaced from the title page. Original imprint: Sociedad de Bibliófilos Argentinos, MCMXCII. Pagination is that of the original publication. Most of the original text (on bibliomania, book collecting, and book binding) is still readable.
Scope/Content: Artist's interventions include dying, drawing in ink, burning, sewing, painting, and hole punching. The top portion of each leaf is dyed purple central sections contain a series of drawn, sewn, and burnt vertical lines. The bottom portion of each leaf is painted dark blue over a series of hatched horizontal lines drawn in ink, below which runs a single horizontal line of punched holes. Bound in original printed wrapper, the top 5 cm of which is intricately sewn with gold thread. The bottom 5 cm is painted blue and has been hole punched profusely. A single line of punched holes run up the the spine.
