Photograph caption dated August 4, 1989 reads, "Tae Lee waits at the side of the freeway after emerging uninjured from a 7-car, 1 truck accident on the southbound Golden State Freeway (5) north of Los Feliz. Lee was on his way to work as an intern reporter at the Korean Times when he said traffic came to an abrupt stop. He stopped his Cadillac in time and then felt two bumps and 'one big third bump.'"
