Cover of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. El ingenioso hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha. Madrid: Editorial Castalia, 1982-1984. This item was displayed in the Doheny Library Treasure Room reopening exhibit, 2001-2002, as part of the display on the library's Latin American collections.
This scholarly annotated edition of the literary classic Don Quixote was edited and produced by the USC alumnus and Cervantes expert Dr. Luis Andrés Murillo. In 1985 Dr. Murillo donated to USC his complete library of more than 4,000 works. The collection includes many other rare works devoted to Cervantes and the Golden Age of Spanish literature.
