Devil's Punchbowl, with an elevation of 4,750 feet, is one of the most fantastic and colorful jumble of rocks in Valyermo, California that is sometimes compared to a miniature Grand Canyon. It is a county-protected natural hiking preserve along Big Rock Creek within the Angeles National Forest, on the northern slopes of the San Gabriel Mountains. Valyermo is an unincorporated town within the Antelope Valley with a population of approximately 450; it is located about 17 miles southeast of Palmdale. April 21, 1937.
