Photograph is cut at bottom right side. Holabird, Root & Burgee of Chicago were the architects for the Statler Center. The hotel's opening name was the Hotel Statler, run by Hotel Statler Co. Hilton Hotels later took over and renamed it the Statler Hilton, which later became The Omni and then The Wilshire Grand Hotel in 1999. In 1989 the hotel was bought by the Korean Airlines. Photograph caption dated January 20, 1958 reads, "Among the galaxy of past and present celebrities in the fistic world slated to attend sixth annual Southern California Boxing Writers Association awards banquet tonight at Statler Hotel's Pacific Ballroom are former world middleweight champ Bobo Olson, left, and former world welterweight champ Jimmy McLarnin of Glendale."
