Photograph article dated November 24, 1947 reads, "Dr. J. Segal, left, medical director of Los Angeles Sanatorium (later City of Hope National Medical Center) at Duarte, who today told of the progress of the sanatorium's $2,500,000 building program, visits a patient, E. Sandler. The patient shows him a copy of his native newspaper."
