The artwork of Ellsworth Kelly, installed at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Ellsworth Kelly (b. May 31, 1923) is a painter and sculptor whose paintings mainly consist of a single, usually bright color, with some canvases being of irregular shape. He is associated with Hard-edge painting (consisting of rough, straight edges that are geometrically consistent), Color field painting (largely characterized by abstract canvas painting primarily with large areas of solid color), and with the Minimalist school of painting (which is often applied colloquially to designate anything which is stripped to its essentials). It is not stated which of MOCA's three facilities the artwork has been displayed in.
