Photograph article dated August 25, 1962 partially reads, "An absent-minded lawbreaker who forgot to take his shoes and spectacles following a burglary attempt has decided he wants them back. He's asking the victim, Studio City barber Sam Podel, to return them. It all began July 12, when Podel told North Hollywood police he awoke about 6 a.m. in the bedroom of his home behind his barber shop, 11912 Ventura Blvd., to find a burglar standing over his bed." Pictured is Det. John Slattery, holding shoes and glasses.
