"Type of new Chinaman, Christian worker, often preaches in our Churches. Parents heathen - persecution. Not allowed to live with them after his marriage - had to live with wife's people, contrary to usual Chinese custom. Achieved his degree, not by bribery, not by influence. Prayerful study and the knowledge of Western ideas derived from missions."
