Description
While the Los Angeles City Council on June 24, 1952, voted to appeal the controversial public housing issue to the U. S. Supreme Court, these women, representing the anti-housing Small Property Owners League, picketed outside City Hall with signs blasting the pro-housing faction. The Council also voted to ask Governor Earl Warren to place the issue before a special session of the Legislature.
