See L.A. Chamber Bulletin December 2, 1929 p1, December 23, 1929 p3. View 5: 7th Street during the Christmas season. Several men and women dressed in Christmas costumes, with the help of an old-fashioned crane, can be seen decorating a streetlight with castle and icicles. All the streetlights in Downtown L.A. would eventually have the same decorations. These decorations were set up by the L.A. Chamber of Commerce to promote a "Christmas Outdoor" celebration. The United States Building and Loan, located at 735 W. 7th St., can be seen in the background. Photo dated: December 20, 1929.
