Description
"Lusubilo 1935. Bauhandlanger." ("Lusubilo in 1935. Builders' helpers."). Men and children are beating the ground with sticks, probably in order to break down clods of earth. In the background the foundations of the new mission station.
Ernst Waldner (1898-?) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine and served in East Africa. He married Julie Friederike Ebinger.
