Gosaburo Takemoto was proprietor of a drug store in Sacramento's Japantown. His son, Hiroshi, was born in 1914. Hiroshi Takemoto graduated from the University of California School of Pharmacy in 1940. He married Tsugie Dairiki and worked in his father's store. During the WWII incarceration period, the Takemoto's were incarcerated at Tule Lake, California and Jerome, Arkansas. After the war, Hiroshi "Doc" and Tsugie "Rose" opened Main Drug Store in Loomis, California.
