Description
Engraving by D. Sleyter from a drawing by A.E.B. Geb. S. of the title page in volume one of Jacobus Boelen's book Reize naar de oost- en westkust van Zuid-America, published in Amsterdam by Ten Brink & De Vries in 1835.
Engraved illustration depicts a South American coastal scene with native plants and animals, canoes and local vessels, a spouting whale, a masted sailing vessel, and volcanic mountains in the distance.
