Description
"A Chinese Fortune Teller," published by Cardinell-Vincent Company, San Francisco and Los Angeles, postmarked 1912 August 23. The color photographic image shows the fortune teller seated at a cloth covered folding table on the sidewalk in Los Angeles' Chinatown. Four other Chinese men are nearby and there is a cloth banner with Chinese characters and the words in English, "Fortune Teller." On the reverse is a message concerning the sale of a house, possibly in Venice where the writer was from. With edge rubbing and light soiling, the overall condition is good.
