Description
Autograph letter, signed, describing the positions of English ships off the coast of New York. Manuscript maps, including Plum Island, showing the positions of English frigates are drawn in the upper third of the letter, below the first seven lines of text. The letter is dated in the lower left-hand corner of the first page. Page 2 is blank. Title supplied by cataloger.
