Photograph caption dated July 4, 1950 reads, "Preparing table in patio while children frolic in swimming and other contests are Mr. and Mrs. Prince. They are hosts to a typical July 4th outdoor party." The article partially reads, "Joining in the fun with an old fashioned picnic at their home are the Gilbert Princes of Sepulveda, newcomers to the Valley...the Prince family came to the Valley in the spring when Mr. Prince was assigned as pastor of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Van Nuys. Mrs. Prince, known in the professional world as Ellen Steven Prince, is an interior decorator and the daughter of the late Rt. Rev. W. Bertrand Stevens, Bishop of Los Angeles Episcopal Diocese."
