Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Betty Grable and Cesar Romero starred in "That Lady in Ermine," the last film Ernst Lubitsch worked on before he passed away of a heart attack in 1947. The film was finished by director Otto Preminger and released posthumously in 1948. Photograph caption dated December 4, 1947 reads "Flanked by Jack Bolton, left, and actor Cesar Romero, Betty Grable attended funeral services today for film Producer-Director Ernst Lubitsch at Forest Lawn. More than 300 screen luminaries and friends were present to pay last respects to movie pioneer." The funeral took place at Forest Lawn, Glendale, California.
