Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated October 12, 1950 partially reads, "The Valley Civic Orchestra consisting of nearly 80 performers will swing into its first fall program Dec. 5 at the Granada Hills Community Church. Headed by George E. Wing, director and now head of the music department of the Van Nuys Junior High School, the group practices each Tuesday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in the music bungalow of the junior high school. Music lovers of considerable ability and one time members of various high school orchestra groups make up the orchestra."
