Description
This promotional postcard covers the Fifteenth National Irrigration Congress, which was held in Sacramento, in September 1907. The nearly 2,000 delegates that came to the event were greeted at the Southern Pacific station with a sign reading "Welcome National Irrigration Congress." The gathering's primary goals were "save the forests, store the floods, reclaim the deserts, and make homes on the land."
