Description
Photograph of a view of buildings burning in the fire following the earthquake in San Francisco, 1906. Three tall buildings are at right. All have several rows of rectangular windows and tower over the dirt street below. In the distance at center, the massive Call Building can be seen sticking out through the thick smoke that blocks the sky. Several people and horse-drawn vehicles can be seen in the streets, and a hose is visible in the foreground at right.
