Regimental orderly book of the 8th Massachusetts Regiment, written by Francis Tuft, adjutant, containing notes on the disbursement of clothing along with a number of resolutions and orders in reference to pay. Includes a copy of George Washington's Newburgh Address of March 15, 1783 Signed by Francis Tufts and William Hildreth, adjutants. Forms part of the collection of the Orderly books of the American revolution. The 8th Massachusetts regiment was cretaed on Nov. 1, 1776 and served until it was disbanded on June 12, 1783. The regiment was commanded by Colonel Michael Jackson. The regiment was attached to Ebenezer Learned Brigade, 4th Massachusetts Brigade, and 2nd Massachusetts Brigade.
