Photograph of a birdseye view of Hollywood Boulevard, showing a variety of shops, ca.1934. Hollywood Boulevard runs from the foreground at left to the background at right and is a wide paved road with streetcar tracks running down the middle. Many automobiles can be seen on the road, while streetcars are visible in the background. One- and two-story buildings line the street, and pedestrians can be seen walking along the sidewalks in front of the m. A very tall building can be seen in the background at left, while low hills are visible in the distance.
Legible signs include, from left: "Outpost Buildings", "Lamps Shades", "Bazaar", "Modern Offices as low as $20", "Auto Park", "Harper Method Scalp Treatment", "Sally's", "Mae Millinery", "Myer Siegel & Co.", "Hotel", "City Dye Works", "Central Hardware Co.", "Egypt[ian]", "Charles Ruggles Mary Boland 6 of a Kind", "Pig 'n' Whistle", and "Café".
