Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on December 31, 1969 states "Construction here would not have been possible at this time last year when four feet of snow covered the ground at Lake Tahoe. But this year, when there is just enough snow in spots for skiers, work can continue by Highland Construction Co. of Vancouver, BC, in daytime above-freezing temperatures on a $2.2 million, 7-mile sewer line project along the west shore of Tahoe."
