Photograph caption dated December 8, 1954 reads, "Valley Singer Connie Haines lends her help in making the New Year's Eve benefit dance a success. Proceeds from the dance will go to fund being raised to build a Center for Valley Handicapped Children. Another Valley resident, Frank DeVol, and his famous orchestra, will play for the gala affair to be held at Devonshire Downs. Tickets may be purchased at headquarters of the Valley Association for the Handicapped by calling SU-3-4311 or at any Valley Times office."
