Description
The intersection of Seventh and K street in downtown Sacramento at dusk is the focus of this circa 1947 Kodachome postcard. Colorful neon signs highlight the clothing stores, shoe shops, and multiple jewelry stores, established on either side of the street while emporiums like Kress, Montgomery Wards and Hales dominate the skyline. The Sierra Theater and Sequoia Hotel on the left are almost directly across the street from the Fox Theater and its upstairs tenant, the Trianon Ballroom, all of them long-established on K Street.
