Description
Excavating for "Y" at Devereux Station, Orange & Alexandria Railroad. Photograph shows General Hermann Haupt supervising a construction site at Devereux Station of the Orange & Alexandria Railroad in Clifton, Virginia. The locomotive bears his name. At right is J.H. Devereux, superintendent. There is a shadow on the right-hand bottom corner of photo.
