Full view of dredge anchored in river or irrigation canal, bucket emptying on shore. McCurry no. 6038 -- view 3 (2010-1851). View from behind dredge. McCurry no. 6039 -- view 4 (2011-0693). Shows river's edge, dredge. McCurry no. 5088. West Sacramento Company incorporated in 1910 for purpose of developing land west of Sacramento River. Between 1910 and 1913 completed reclamation project that included construction of levees, irrigation system, roads. In 1911 organized area as Reclamation District 900.
