Photograph was edited for publication purposes Introduced in 1953, the Wonderbar refrigerator was designed by Donald Earl Dailey and manufactured by Servel, Inc. It was designed for entertaining and portability, taking the refrigerator from out of the kitchen and into backyards, boats, cars, and summer homes. Photograph caption dated December 17, 1953 reads, "Albert Newbauer, right, of 11130 Lemay St., North Hollywood, receives congratulations from Emil Picozzi, left, and Bob Valentin, North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce representative, after being named winner of Servel Wonderbar award sponsored by the North Hollywood Retail Merchants Committee of the chamber."
