Elevated view of sparsely wooded river canyon. Shows S.P.R.R. tracks adjacent to river at left, and higher on the mountain, entering a tunnel at right. Shows man (Perkins?) carrying photographic equipment on mountainside at right center. Title and photographer's name "Perkins" handwritten in lower right corner; number 866 at lower left corner; 640 Clay St., San Francisco on lower border.
