Original photograph has several stains and marks.
Photograph caption dated June 5, 1956 reads "Students from North Hollywood Junior High School demonstrate how not to ride a bicycle in series of pictures shot with cooperation of Los Angeles Police Department's traffic education division. Youngsters are riding on sidewalks and darting blind into traffic. Both are violations of Motor Vehicle Code." North Hollywood Junior High School was renamed Walter Reed Middle School.; See images #00140924 through #00140926 for all photos in this series.
