Description
This photo shows striking Los Angeles garment workers and pickets being served their daily cafeteria style luncheon at the strike headquarters, 1110 South Los Angeles Street. Meanwhile, as the strike entered the seventh day, conditions became more acute and Chief of Police James E. Davis ordered more men to the garment industry district. Clashes between strikers and strikebreakers continued with tomatoes being hurled and shins kicked. Photo dated: October 19, 1933.
