Description
Some of the blind patients at the Sawtelle institution are shown on June 16, 1936, when they received their bonus for being injured in World War I. Left to right, Thomas Woolton, Harvey R. Smith, John H. Mills, and Postman E. R. Adams, who helped the sightless vets sign their receipts.
