Photograph caption dated May 21, 1963 reads, "The Central Auxiliary of the Assistance League of Southern California will welcome 13 provisionals into membership Thursday at its annual Recognition Tea in the Garden Room of the Bel-Air Hotel. Making plans for the event are Mmes. Robert C. McNeel, standing, left, co-chairman, and Alexander H. Bell, provisional, both of North Hollywood; Robert H. Ritchie, Sherman Oaks, provisional, seated, left, and Hugh E. Barber, auxiliary chairman. Other provisionals are Mmes. Harold H. Blackman, James Lynn Brooks, Arturo L. Duarte, Merritt S. Harvey, Arthur Hewitt, Raymond Lindstrum, John K. Reeves, Carlton J. Rucker, Nelson P. Steitz, Myles H. Wilder and Lee F. Wollard."
