Description
View looking down North San Pedro Street (previously Wilmington Street until ca. 1902) towards First Street in downtown Los Angeles, California. A sign for Jackson Street can be seen on the right, near where a man is walking down the street. On the right is a large brick building with a sign for "The Hub," which was a saloon and boarding house located at 125 N. San Pedro Street. A street car can be seen in the background.
Title devised by cataloger. Date range approximated by cataloger based on the year that "The Hub" first appears in Los Angeles City directories and the latest known dates indicated for other Hazard images in the Huntington's collection. Similar images of San Pedro Street in the same vicinity can be seen in the related items.
