Photograph caption dated April 13, 1964 reads "Ribbon-cutting ceremonies this week opened the 24th Thrifty Drug Store in the Valley in Topanga Plaza at Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Vanowen Street. Officiating were actor Francis Lederer, left, honorary mayor of Canoga Park; Fred Gehrke, head of Topanga Plaza; Manny Borun, vice president, Thrifty Drug Stores; Sharon Wolcott, Miss Canoga Park; cowboy Chuck Ryan honorary sheriff, and Ronald A. Kramer, manager."
