Photograph was edited for publication purposes Robert William Prescott was born in Texas on May 5, 1913. He was an ace with the Flying Tigers in World War II and went on to found the Flying Tiger Line, the first scheduled cargo airline in the United States. He died on March 3, 1978. Photograph caption dated June 17, 1965 reads "Robert Prescott, president of the Flying Tiger Line, first of the nation's all-cargo airlines, presently head-quartered in Burbank, looks over the progress of the Tigers' past 20 years. The airline officially celebrates its 20th anniversary next Friday following substantial annual growth."
