Description
“The Ladies’ Bungalow.” Exterior views of bungalow building. Land for a bungalow was gifted to the church in 1871. By 1896 the church had two bungalows and a zenana bungalow. A zenana was that part of the house to which women of a family were secluded. This ladies bungalow is likely the zanana bungalow, where women were able to live and preach the gospel to other women. A girl’s school was also established at the bungalow. ❧ United Free Church of Scotland photographs from the Rajputana mission.
