Description
Robert Graham's Gateway, with its two headless figures, continues to be controversial. Critics have said the sculptures denigrate athletes by asserting their prowess is an expression of "brawn over brains." The controversial Gateway is now being guarded round the clock. Dated July 3, 1984.
