View 1 (2014-1762). Icerya - exhibition case. Shows specimens of Australian Ladybird, Cottony cushion scale, Lestophonnus iceryae-- view 2 (2014-1763). Peach Borer - exhibition case. Shows specimens of Sanninoidea opalesceus -- view 3 (2014-1764). Oak enemies - exhibition case. Shows specimens of California Oak Worm, Phryganidia californica, Oak Leaf Miner Bueculatrix sp. and Ichnemon parasite, Pimpla behrendeii -- view 4 (2014-1765). Grape Beetle - exhibition plaque. Shows specimens of California Grape Root Worm, Adosus vitis. The Insectary Division of the Commission of Horticulture was responsible for collecting, breeding and disseminating predaceous insects as a means of controlling harmful insects. As part of that work, they collected and disseminated the native species of ladybird (ladybug) beetle or coccinellids, notably Hippodamia convergens.
