Description
Correspondence mentions receiving a letter from Manypenny dated on August 12th. Ford deems the territory Wool Reservation. [Some locations and reservations are illegible] Henley mentions Mr. [Giger?] went North and received a sickness at [Trinity?]. On August 29th, Henley journeyed with C. Wheeler, [Dr. Cabanifs?], A.J. Winemiller, and George Bascomb, Edward Louis, and [Thomas Craftton?]. They camped on the north side of Elder Creek, opposite of the residence of Robert H. [Thomes?]. On the 30th, they left camp for the coast range, roughly six or eight miles, and then diverged in the south west direction for eight miles. They continued to survey the area further.
