Photograph article dated April 11, 1950 partially reads, "At the end of a long day watchmaker Ferd P. Peck, like many another man, relaxes with his 'children,' but they are not the kind that leave little hand prints on the walls. The children, or 'kids,' as Peck fondly refers to them, are three talking birds! Pride of the Peck home at 7407 Gloria Ave., Van Nuys, is a 3-year-old Mynah bird, that answers to the name of BA-O, from the Hindu meaning 'bird that talks.' ... Peck's other 'kids' include Tisa, a rare African gray parrot and a cockateel [sic], 'Corky.'"
