Description
Photograph of Amelia Earhart and Loretta Schimmoler standing in front of an airplane, 1937. The women can be seen standing next to one another and are looking at each other. Amelia Earhart wears a calf-length dress with a long coat over it. The coat is lined with fur at top and around the sleeves, while flowers can be seen attached to the coat on her right shoulder. She wears a metal bracelet on her right wrist, while she holds a purse in her left hand. She can be seen wearing gloves and a hat. Loretta Schimmoler wears a long coat that extends to her ankles, while her hands are in her coat pockets. What appears to be a monoplane can be seen behind the women. The plane has a propeller in front, one wing set, and two stripes from the front to back. Snow is visible on the ground.
