Photograph caption dated March 7, 1964 reads, "U. S. Navy Seabees maintain forest roads, will continue when tourist roads are completed. Here is Seabee heavy equipment, in a moment of repose." The article partially reads, "A feasibility study for development of Sespe Creek in the mountains of the Los Padres National Forest in northern Ventura County is under way by the U. S. Bureau of Reclamation...Sespe Creek threads its way through beautiful mountain country in the national forest north of Ojai and Fillmore...Part of the project's funds-about $10 million-will be used to develop recreational facilities."; See images #00117515 through #00117517 for all photos in this series.
