The Quad at Whittier shopping mall was built in 1953 and expanded in 1965. After being destroyed by an earthquake in 1987, it was rebuilt as a strip mall.
The Quad at Whittier shopping mall, located at 13502 Whittier Boulevard; view is looking west. Visible streets are Whittier Boulevard (bottom middle to top right corner); Laurel Avenue (middle left to lower center); and Painter Avenue (slightly diagonally at upper center). Photograph dated August 6, 1957.
