Note: Ramseyer neg 18. (TG). - Als Nr. 18 publiziert im Album 'Achtzig Ansichten von der Goldküste (Westafrika) nach Originalaufnahmen des Missionars Fritz Ramseyer', Neuenburg 1895. (RI). - Bildlegende im Album: "Lehrsaal des Predigerseminars in Akropong. - Es ist dies der Lehrsaal der I. Klasse, deren Zöglinge einer baldigen Anstellung als Katechisten entgegensehen. Nachdem sie sich in dieser Stellung bewährt haben, können sie zu Pfarrern ordiniert werden." (RI).
Note translation: Ramseyer neg 18. (TG). - Published as no 18 in the album 'Achtzig Ansichten von der Goldküste (Westafrika) nach Originalaufnahmen des Missionars Fritz Ramseyer', Neuchatel 1895. (RI). - Caption in the album: "Classroom of the Pastors' Seminary in Akropong. - It is the room used by the 1st class, whose pupils can look forward to being appointed soon as catechists. After they have shown their worth as catechists they may be ordained pastors." (NB in this tradition the first class is the top class, and not the beginners' class. - PJ 07.1998).
